Found a figure that looks wrong? Use the corrections pathway or the data-corrections form. Our editorial and corrections policy explains how reports are verified. For source definitions and current coverage, see the methodology.
This log records published PlainCollector changes from 2026 onward. It distinguishes source-data corrections from crawl or presentation work, and it does not treat a CFPB complaint as a legal finding against a company. The methodology explains the complaint database, while the editorial policy explains how correction reports are assessed.
Public /corrections alias and identity CiteThis blocks
Added a /corrections redirect to the editorial corrections process, a public /changelog, and Cite this page blocks on identity and legal pages so readers have a stable citation string and a clear path to report data issues.
Rich-only collector concentration profile (STOP-AT-PASS)
Collector detail pages now emit a concentration profile only when the collector has enough complaints for length-varies and diverse-content gates; em-dash prose was scrubbed before ship (commits d8dd4de7, 6e4dcf14).
Noindex /search dropped from sitemap-pages
Removed the noindex /search route from the pages sitemap so crawl instructions no longer advertise a non-indexable URL (commit 132ceed7).
Honest per-route sitemap lastmod
Static and related sitemap entries now stamp lastmod from git or CFPB data vintage per page instead of a single portal-wide fingerprint (commit 37654bb6).
DEAD_CLASS rankings noindexed and emptied from sitemap
Empty rankings class stopped advertising indexable URLs; sitemap-rankings emits empty and ranking templates are noindex, follow (commit c0f6c6f4).
Honest org identity: removed a fabricated collective byline
Publisher and author surfaces no longer imply a multi-person collective; accountability stays with the named editorial process and contact inbox (commit 4e1850b6).
